Club meeting – Tuesday July 13th Now that we can gather together we have planned an indoor photo shoot at the club rooms for our July meeting. We will set up 6 stations for members the chance to experience different activities including smoke wisp photography, droplet photography, shaped bokeh (google that one) and still life. Bring your camera and tripod for these activities. This is also the night that entries are due for the August print and digital completion. The set subject is “Animal Portraits”. Welcome to the June newsletter. The club had some enjoyable events and activities in May, getting in just before the lockdown. The highlight was the photo shoot at the club rooms with two very different models. Some fantastic photos were shared on the Friends of BCC Facebook page. By all reports it was a fun night which gave members a great chance to learn some new skills and brush up on old skills. Market place – Tuesday May 11 On Tuesday night we will have a market place at the club rooms. Members are invited bring equipment they no longer need or want to sell or swap. Can members please undertake some research about what is an appropriate price for any items you want to sell. Please label your equipment with the price. Whilst the market is on we will also be showing a selection of AVs from a few members. This is just for entertainment, not for competition. March was a month full of club activities and get togethers. We had photo shoots at Muskerry Church and Mt Kooyoora/Melville Caves as well as the club dinner. It was great to see members sharing their photos from the two outings on Cluster and Facebook. The committee extends appreciation to Rob Scholes for sharing his extensive knowledge of Mt Kooyoora. In February we had our first face to face club meeting for close to a year. We gathered together at the clubrooms, in a suitably distanced manner, viewed some great photos and had a live judge. I think members will agree it is great to be able to meet up again and March is full of opportunities to meet up.
