Hi All, just a quick note to let members know that the January Newsletter is running a little late this month due to the editor having issues with his health slowing up the process. It will be uploaded at some stage during the coming weekend.

In the meantime a quick reminder in case some missed Flic’s post late December; in regards to current events on the calendar:

We will welcome in 2024 with a club picnic.

Date: Tuesday 9th of January

Where: Lake Weeroona Clubrooms. We will gather outside, between the clubroom and the lake. If it is a bit wet we can gather inside.

Time: 6pm

BYO chair, food and drinks. Alcohol can not be drunk outside the clubrooms.

Hot drinks will be supplied.

February Competition Photos Due

Competition entries for the judging night in February are due by 11.45pmTuesday 9th January (Prints can be dropped off at the club picnic or with arrangement, beforehand).

Set Subject: Action/Movement.

Please see the Members Tab on the club web site for more info about entering competitions. Also, if you are a new member, please refer to the New Members Info document emailed to you. Please see the newsletter for committee member emails if you have any questions.

Also if you are finding it hard to access mounting boards (mats), please let Pauline know as we can organise some for you. She will also be at the picnic night early (5.30pm) to do some mounting. If you want to watch or to check that your print presentation is correct, then come along early.

Tuesday 16th January will be a walk around Lake Weeroona (7pm) where we have a Treasure Hunt. We list things you need to photograph and members will use their creativity to photograph the items. This activity is always a lot of fun! More info to come.

Friday 26th January will be our Australia Day exhibition and sale at the clubhouse. More info to come but keep in mind you will be allowed to enter 10 matted prints or framed prints, resin blocks, canvases etc etc. So start thinking about what you would like to display/sell. More info coming.
