The Bendigo Camera Club will be holding a weekend away to Phillip Island from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th October. Staying in the Cowes area.

Some of the committee members are staying at the NRMA Phillip Island Beachfront Holiday Park.

Booking accommodation is up to the participant. As Phillip Island is a popular destination it is suggested that you do not wait till the last moment as your choices are already limited.

We will be holding a welcome to Phillip Island dinner on Friday night. Where we can all catch up and confirm you have arrived safely. You will receive an information pack on your arrival.

For those members wishing to we will also have a sunset photo shoot organised.

Anyone wishing to do some Astro, a destination will also be provided.

Saturday

To start the day we have a sunrise destination for the early risers.

Today will be a day where you can choose from the large list of information we have provided you with in the information pack, including:

Churchill Island

Pyramid Rock

Smiths Beach

Red Rocks

The Nobbies

Swan Lake

just to name a few. At the end of the day the committee is asking you to bring a picnic/take away dinner to our chosen sunset spot, where you can just sit and admire the view or of course take some pictures. If you are wishing to do some Astro another spot will be organised.

Sunday

Another early rise for those wishing to sunrise photography.

Today is your last chance to see anything or revisit anything from Saturday. Otherwise it is suggested you spend the Morning looking around San Remo.

Take a cruise, check out the Marina and the old jetty remains. The Pelican feeding at 12 noon is a nice place to get some photos before a highly recommended feed of fish n chips/ seafood from the San Remo Fisherman’s Co-Op, or you can purchase something from the local Bakery. This will be our farewell lunch giving you plenty of time to have a leisurely drive home.

This a quick run down of the weekend if you require further information Please don’t hesitate to contact Pauline, or any of the committee members.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
