The clouds were intriguing at yesterday’s club shoot at the gardens.

Unfortunately the sunset was a little underwhelming. Perhaps the skies will be kind to us this week – so let’s try to capture some epic skies, either in a close up of dramatic clouds or a dramatic sky in a landscape vista. It could be a stormy sky, a dramatic sunset or sunrise, or some fascinating cloud formations.
Useful techniques for enhancing the sky include
- Use a Polarizing filter
- Use a Graduated filter
- Take a Long exposure (for motion blur in the clouds)
- Picking the right time of day
- Post processing to enhance the colors
