Create a set of three separate images that are variants on a theme. They might be different subjects that are related or different views of the same subject taken from different angles or distances.

Thanks to Cheryl for this suggestion.

An example of a triptych from Wikipedia

Here’s an tutorial for creating a simple triptych in Photoshop from the Photofocus website:

Of course there are many other tutorials online, including tutorials for affinity and Lightroom.

How to upload your image

You have until next Tuesday to upload your image to Cluster. Members have all been sent an invitation to join and most have done so already. If you have any trouble feel free to email Esther. We also encourage you to leave encouraging comments for other members.

We’d love your suggestions/requests for future challenges. Please leave them as a comment under the challenge notification in Cluster or Facebook.

We will also post this competition on our “Friends of BCC” Facebook group so our friends can still participate by sharing their images on Facebook.

The next challenge…

I thought I’d give you a heads-up for the next challenge. Now that we can get out and about more readily we are no longer limited to our house and garden and have a chance to take some local photos.

We would like to change the banner for our Facebook, Cluster and Flickr accounts to be something that is more quintessentially Bendigo and one that works well as a wide landscape image. The image we currently have is a fabulous image by Will Tainsh which he popped up as a temporary Facebook banner but it’s time to replace it with something more representative of our club.

The committee will select an image from the most popular images posted. More on that next week!
