This Newsletter contains information about the next club meeting on Tuesday the 13th of November, the activity meeting on the 20th of November, and the Annual Awards evening.

13th of November – Audio Visual (AV) Judging night:-

The judge will be John Spring from the Macedon Ranges and The Melbourne Camera Clubs.  John will be in attendance. There are 5 AV’s which go for a maximum of 3 minutes and 21 seconds each.   After the AV’s John Spring will entertain us and provide some technical details on how to improve our AV’s.

Bendigo Rowing Club:-  On the 20th of October 15 club members attended the Bendigo Rowing Club Regatta to take photos as requested by the Rowing Club. In excess of 3000 images will be presented to the Rowing Club. A big thanks to those members who took part. In return the rowing club has promised to pay us $250.00.  The rowing club also provided lunch on the day.

Trophies:-  Would those club members who won TROPHIES last year please return them on the 13th of November as they will need to be engraved for this years lucky winners.

20th of November – Activity night:-  A BBQ and social night would be held for the final club activity of the year. The BBQ will be provided with members asked to bring their own food and drinks.  More details will be provided at the next meeting (13th November).

Awards Evening:-  Val is running this event which will again be held at the RSL at 73-75 Havilah Road, Bendigo on the 1st of December. Please turn up at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start.                   The cost is $35 per head and money is required by the 20th November.

Mentoring Program for 2019:-  Following a discussion by your committee, it was agreed that 2-roles were required:

The first being a ‘Meet & Greet’ person to support new members to become comfortable with the Club. This will include a brief overview of Club operation and introduction to members; and

The second being a ‘Technical’ person/people to support new members on an as needs basis re all matters associated with their equipment. For example, Nikon with Nikon, Canon with Canon etc.

A separate email will be forwarded to all members with more details.
