{"id":9626,"date":"2018-07-17T22:51:34","date_gmt":"2018-07-17T12:51:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bendigocameraclub.org.au\/?p=9626"},"modified":"2021-11-17T14:09:12","modified_gmt":"2021-11-17T03:09:12","slug":"taking-and-editing-photos-on-your-iphone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bendigocameraclub.org.au\/?p=9626","title":{"rendered":"Taking and Editing Photos on Your iPhone"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The humble phone should not be dismissed as a tool for capturing beautiful images and memories.<br><br>(As shown at the Club AGM on 17\/7\/2018, updated 9\/10\/2021 and with apologies to all of the other wonderful brands of phone that are not apple!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The iPhoneography School (iphonephotographyschool.com) has many tutorials on how to capture images with the iPhone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below is a summary of information from that site and others about Apps for taking photos, editing photos and presenting them as a slideshow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Native iPhone Camera App<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Camera App gives you some control over your shot. You can <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>choose your focus point<\/li><li>adjust the exposure up and down<\/li><li>shoot <ul><li><strong>Pano<\/strong> \u2013 panorama<\/li><li><strong>Live<\/strong> \u2013 convert to loop videos or long exposure<\/li><li>Timelaps, Slo-mo, Video<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">but you can&#8217;t set the shutter speed, ISO or white balance as you might with an actual camera. There are other apps you can purchase that will give you DSLR-like manual controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More information about iPhone camera apps here: <a href=\"https:\/\/iphonephotographyschool.com\/best-camera-app-for-iphone\/\">https:\/\/iphonephotographyschool.com\/best-camera-app-for-iphone\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shooting RAW<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">iPhone 12+<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have an iPhone 12 Pro or later and iOS 14.3 or later you can turn on the ProRAW option so that the native camera app will capture images in raw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To do that, go to Settings &gt; Camera &gt; Formats and then turn on Apple ProRAW under Photo Capture.
