I expected about four people for our first night of Photoshop instruction, and about 15 people arrived. I guess there is a real need for this type of night!

August 22nd (4th Tuesday) we will go through the process of calibrating your monitor with our Spyder calibration device. Its a simple process that takes about 20 minutes. Financial members of the club can borrow the Spyder at any time.

Then we will have a more detailed look at the histogram, how to interpret the graph and making adjustments for improving the contrast of an image.

Finally a more detailed explanation and examples of sharpening images.

After the ‘formal’ instruction you have the opportunity for us to have a look at some of the images you have been working on using the techniques we covered last night. Please bring your ‘before’ & ‘after’ image.

There will be no ‘digital’ night in September as some of us will be away on the Club excursion to Vietnam. We will resume our ‘digital’ night in October.

If anyone has any suggestions on what they would like to learn about PhotoShop, email or leave your suggestions here on our web site.
