{"id":130,"date":"2015-06-11T11:13:33","date_gmt":"2015-06-11T01:13:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bendigocameraclub.org.au\/?page_id=130"},"modified":"2025-02-09T11:17:09","modified_gmt":"2025-02-09T00:17:09","slug":"what-we-do","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bendigocameraclub.org.au\/?page_id=130","title":{"rendered":"What We Do"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Purpose<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the Bendigo Camera Club is to provide a forum for like-minded people to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>improve our photography skills;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>share knowledge and exchange ideas; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>find every opportunity to go out and take photographs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Come along to our next meeting &amp; get to know us! &#8211; it may be the beginning of new friendships as well as interesting new insights into the wonderful world of photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meetings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2nd Tuesday of each month is competition night. Every second month, members can submit photos (either prints and or digital). There are three categories for the photos: Set subject, Open, Monochrome. The Set Subject changes each time. The photos sent to an external person for judging. The judge&nbsp;visits on the following month and provides feedback on the submitted work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 3rd Tuesday of each month is \u201cActivity Night\u201d&nbsp;where&nbsp;we usually have an informal meeting with&nbsp;activities such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Photoshop tutorials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DSLR tutorials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View members&#8217; audio visuals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>General discussion, ask questions and receive specific tuition as required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photo walk around town<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photography workshop in the club rooms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Club Outings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year there are a couple of weekends where we schedule a club outing to places such as Bright, Healesville, the Grampians, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Annual Events<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year we display photos at the Lake Weeroona clubrooms on Australia Day and we hold an exhibition at Dudley House over Easter.
