Joel Bramley presented at the recent activity night on June 23rd.

It was certainly cold, but many members attended sporting hats and puffer jackets, showing their passion to learn photography!

Joel covered the basics of photography and led us on a walk around the lake and down into the creek to experiment with light painting, night photography with a spotlight and photographing the stars.

He provided this pdf of the instructions Intro to DSLR Photography

Joel also talked about calibrating your Diopter. Here is a link to some tips on that: ‘How to calibrate your Diopter’.

Although the tutorial uses a Canon as the example, the general principles should apply to other brands.
